1. Let's Talk Money: You've Worked Hard for It, Now Make It Work for You - by Monika Halan 

This is a must-read for all teenagers and investment beginners. This book talks about the step by step process of financial planning and then moving towards wealth creation. It is an ideal book to gift yourself and your children or your friend or partner on their first job. I had brought this book as a gift to my sister and fell in love with it myself. Even though I knew all the concepts mentioned in the book. I really loved the simplicity of it and step by step process shared, which I learned the hard way similar to the author. 

2. How to Make Money in Stocks: A Winning System in Good Times and Bad, – by William O'Neil

Now, this book is completely different than the one mentioned above. This is a bit advance book talking about investment through the CANSLIM technique. If you are a smallcase investor, you would have easily doubled your money by beating the index using the CANSLIM technique.

3. Trade and Grow Rich: Adventurous Journey to Successful Trading – by Indrazith Shantharaj 

Did this book title sound familiar? No surprises, it seems to be taken from Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. Even though the name might sound similar but, the content is completely different. Now, this book is for the people who inspire to be traders and for loss-making traders. In this book, the author covers the insight into the trader's mind and methodology. Ch 5. Abhimanyu, Who Knew the Entry and Not the Exit and Ch 9. Mind Shift - Average Employee to Successful Entrepreneur is a must-read.   

4. The Autobiography of a Stock – by Manoj Arora

If you are inspired by Warren Buffet or Rakesh Jhunjhunwala and plan to invest through direct equity. This book is a common man guide to stock investing. The author takes you into the equity roller coaster with all real market data from the eye of Mr. Stock.

Wow!!! Now, this is not a book but, a guide for the investor and my personal favorite.  I would recommend this book for people with some basic financial knowledge. If you are complete fresher, I would still suggest going for Let's Talk Money. This book is special because it talks from the point of view of the advisor covering insights on Investor Behaviour. Also, how the importance of advisor changes in investor life depending on market situations. 

6. Value Investing and Behavioral Finance: Insights into Indian Stock Market Realities – by Parag Parikh 

This is yet another amazing book by Parag Parikh on value investing and behavioral finance. Now, value investing is a much-debated subject which you can understand reading this book. This book also for a few experienced people who understand the basic market process.
